MAHUBE-OTWA is actively recruiting a CLERICAL SUPPORT staff for the Wadena location. Seeking a customer service oriented individual with independent initiative and strong interpersonal skills to assist with our strategic priority of connecting people to available services and benefits by providing administrative and clerical support for assigned programs. Assists in the maintenance of data management and information systems by compiling and processing data as well as associated records and reports. Provides overall agency clerical support for agency programs and services.

  • Pay: $21.70 - $22.45
  • Schedule: Day Shift, Monday – Friday, Full Time, Seasonal with reduced hours for approximately 2 months in summer

Requirements

Qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • High school diploma required plus Technical/Vocational certificate and 1 (one) to 3 (three) years of related clerical experience or equivalent combination of education or experience, or a demonstrated capability to perform the job duties.
  • The ability to work and communicate with people of all backgrounds; interest, training, or experience in working with programs for low-income households; and concern for low-income people is critical.
  • Ability to apply common sense solutions in standardized situations.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to express/exchange ideas and instructions to clients, the public or other employees.
  • Good computer skills including working with email, Internet, data entry, computer files and databases.
  • Basic math and clerical skills.
  • Strong independent initiative and ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
  • Must be able to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to travel to locations within agency service area.
  • Completion of criminal background check prior to hire.
