EVENTS SPECIALIST | JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY At Magnolia, the Events Specialist is responsible for supporting the planning and execution of all Brand events, large and small. This position works from Magnolia Headquarters in Waco, Texas. It reports to the Director of Brand Experience and has no supervisory responsibilities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Uphold Magnolia’s manifesto and values Supports in planning, production, and execution of all brand events Serves as venue point of contact when the Magnolia Silos property is being rented by third parties Coordinate all hospitality-related needs across events Work closely with cross-functional internal teams as well as third party vendors Contribute to the maintenance of brand event process evolution and documentation Participate in set-up, execution, and tear down of all events Contribute to a high energy and fast-paced environment Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Soft skills: Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, strong problem-solving skills, ability to act with confidentiality and discretion Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university preferred Experience: 1-3 years of related work experience preferred General availability: Required to work all Magnolia events; must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and arms to reach, handle, feel; utilize fine motor dexterity of fingers; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may increase during specific events and large-scale concerts.
