CREW LEADER | JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY At Magnolia, the Crew Leader is a key part of the Magnolia Market leadership team and is responsible for guest experience, facilitating the host experience, creating an outstanding guest experience through connection, and overseeing all operations of the retail floor. This position ensures that top notch product education and guest experience is happening among the hosts. Crew Leaders lead with enthusiasm and are specialists in training and development. They take initiative, have strong assessment skills and provide feedback for the team, and are agile in adapting to the ebbs and flows of the day-to-day business. They work closely with the Guest Experience Manager in providing coaching on people experience, guest experience, and business needs. This position connects with guests in genuine and authentic ways and serves as a Magnolia brand ambassador. This position works at Magnolia Market in Waco, Texas. It reports to the Guest Experience Manager and has supervisory responsibilities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Uphold Magnolia’s manifesto and values Contribute positively to a high-energy, fast-paced environment Demonstrate strong guest-focused engagement on the sales floor Leverage all necessary tools to manage the store business operations in overseeing sales targets and labor management Honor company safety policies and procedures and work in partnership with the team to ensure a safe workplace Lead in closing the store for the day, including counting the daily deposit Lead the team in preparing the store for the day, including: replenishing displays, other merchandise requirements, and opening registers Strategically and efficiently manage day-to-day operations of the sales floor, and prioritize and adapt to daily business needs in the moment, giving feedback and direction when needed Remain up to date on company communication, priorities, and roll-outs Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Hard skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Office 365 preferred Soft skills: Excellent communication skills in a highly collaborative environment, foster connection by putting people first and building trusting relationships, passion for customer service and delivering an exceptional experience for guests Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred Experience: 1-2 years of retail leadership experience preferred General availability: Must be available to work weekends, special events, and holidays PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit; use hands and arms to reach, handle, feel; utilize fine motor dexterity of fingers; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is expected to utilize team lifting techniques when lifting bulky items or items weighing above 50 pounds and up to 120 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
