This position is on our Ventilator Unit at Night
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care and oversee the nursing staff
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical information
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines and standards
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
Qualifications:
- Valid nursing license (RN or LPN)
- Proven experience as a Charge Nurse or in a similar leadership role
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and patient care principles
- Proficiency in case management and medical office procedures
- Experience with vital signs monitoring, cardiac catheterization, sterile processing, and administering injections
- Familiarity with tube feeding, gastric lavage, and coding practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
