Salary: $140,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year, depending on years of experience and level of education

About the Role

The Head of Supply Chain directs overall Supply Chain operations and will be responsible for building and leveraging strong working relationships with our engineering teams and key suppliers to assure new components successfully deliver against Cost, Quality and on-time Delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in New Product Introduction (NPI), and hardware. This role oversees the Supply Chain team and reports to Chief Financial Officer.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the supply chain at our growing aerospace business.
  • Continuously evaluate suppliers and develop new supplier relationships
  • Negotiate effectively on behalf of magniX
  • Collaborate with internal Engineering, Program Management, and Customer teams to drive optimum outcomes for the business
  • Successfully balance on-time delivery, inventory levels, cost and quality
  • Promote the principle of concurrent engineering, by organizing, and leading early supplier selection, Co-Design, Design to Cost, Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly approaches
  • Conduct evaluation of supplier proposals and put forward recommendations to achieve project expectations and a flawless EIS.
  • Coordinate with Quality to ensure timely and effective Suppliers’ approval & oversight and support audits as required.
  • Responsible for the supply chain program delivery, developing metrics and internal reporting. Manage inputs from multiple teams and work with program managers to develop project schedules.
  • Develop sourcing strategies using focused industry analysis, business knowledge, competitive analysis, and sourcing expertise.
  • Other responsibilities as needed in our growing, dynamic business

Ideal Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering or industry related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of business experience, including 3 years of aerospace supply chain experience
  • Successful experience negotiating large complex purchase agreements
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Successful track record leading projects from idea to execution and a passion for continuous improvement in areas such as lead-time reduction; cost reduction; quality improvement, etc.
  • Knowledgeable about working in an aerospace development environment, including managing highly complex bills of material
  • Experience successfully using ERP systems to make decisions and drive efficiencies – experience with SAP highly desired
  • Experience working with quality requirements and regulations (AS9100, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Work Authorization

  • Employer work visa sponsorship and support are not provided for this role. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at hire and must maintain authorization to work in the United States throughout their employment without the assistance of magniX.

Location

  • Applicants must be willing and able to commute to magniX's location in Everett, Washington.

This position's approximate base salary range is $140,000.00 – 180,000.00 per year, depending on years of experience and level of education

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. Under §120.15, a “U.S. Person” includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees. As this position requires access to export-controlled data, an appropriate export authorization by the U.S. Government may be required prior to such access. Employment, and the continuity of employment of non-U.S. persons, is contingent upon the company’s ability to secure and maintain the necessary export control authorization.
