Immediate opening for part-time Registered Nurse (Family Medicine) to support Nellis AFB, NV.

Qualifications:

• Degree/Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
• Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support: Shall hold and maintain Basic Life Support. Certifications must be through American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines. Members must present proof of current certification(s) through American Health Association or American Red Cross.
• Experience: The nurse shall have at least 12 months of nursing experience within the last 24 months. Telehealth knowledge/familiarity required. Knowledge of computer operations and proficiency in use of basic word processing, data entry and automated medical records. Knowledge of the administrative requirements for proper documentation of patient conditions including disease progress, acknowledgement of teaching, and follow up care. Knowledge of disease management and population health principles. Knowledge of preventive health schedules, procedures, processes and education methods. Knowledge of a wide range of medical disorders/conditions and disease processes across the lifespan, as appropriate. Knowledge of professional care theories, principles, practices, and procedures to perform nursing assignments of moderate difficulty and experience in assessing pediatric, adolescent, adults, obstetrics, and geriatric patients, as appropriate. Utilizes the nursing process as a basis for professional practice.
• Licensure/Registration: Must have a permanent, full, and unrestricted Registered Nursing license to practice nursing in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

HCW Duties: The duties for the HCW are as follows but not limited to:

• Knowledge of a wide range of medical disorders/conditions, diagnostic studies and treatments, as appropriate.
• Knowledge of preventive health schedules, disease management and population health principles, and education methods.
• Strongly preferred working knowledge of the military health care system including TRICARE health benefits or a working knowledge of the principles of fee-for-services, preferred provider network and managed care/HMO organizations is highly desirable.
• Ability to synthesize data from a variety of sources and make appropriate clinical decisions
• Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality and cost effectiveness.
