Position: Quality Control Specialist

Position Summary

The Quality Technician is proactive who works under the guidance of Magick Woods corporate policies and procedures while adhering to all customer product standards and specifications. This position work with the Quality team under the direction of the Sr. Quality Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Verifies that product leaving the assembly line (in-process inspection) is of the highest quality and meets Quality Standards as spelled out in the company's Work Instructions and Defect Classification documents.
• Identifies root causes for poor product quality at different assembly stages and works with the cross functional team to implement corrective actions
• Works closely with suppliers to share non-nonconformances and ensure containment
• Familiar with product and cosmetic quality standards
• Develops and maintains incoming inspection standards and work daily on inspecting incoming material from different vendors
• Ability to log inspection reports in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc. and share details with team members and suppliers on daily basis
• Ability to read drawings and identity parts for color, size, material type etc. during incoming inspection and first article sample and report using the Quality management system
• Responsible to use basic inspection tools and gages such as a caliper, tape measure, square ruler The unit of measurement will be in both metric and inches
• Interacts and work closely with production floor and warehousing daily activities
• Follow safety procedures and regulations

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum 2 year of Quality inspection

Woodworking experience preferred Excellent vision and color shade comparison

Ability to use digital device to generate accurate records
