Magellan International School is Hiring a Maintenance Technician Near Austin, TX
- Works closely with the Campus Manager on each campus to maintain the overall appearance of the school, both internally and externally
- Checks the facilities and grounds daily for safety concerns and immediately corrects any hazardous issues
- Prioritizes and responds to maintenance requests from staff in a timely manner
- Performs basic to intermediate repairs in the building and on the grounds
- Maintains knowledge of pertinent laws and EPA and OSHA regulations governing proper storage and management of hazardous materials, including solvents, flammables, caustics, and refrigerants
- May provide janitorial assistance when Janitorial Services is not present on campus
- Provides transportation services regularly (every weekday afternoon) and on an as-needed basis during the school day and occasional special events.
- Maintains the Maintenance Request Log
- Attends weekly Operations Department meetings
- Promotes the Magellan International School Mission
- Able to physically perform the following duties for prolonged periods of time: Unassisted lifting up to 50 pounds. Bending, Walking, Kneeling, Stretching, Able to work on step ladders or extension ladders up to 30 feet.
- Able to work in confined spaces, indoors and outdoors in all climates, and unclean environments with fumes, dust, and poor ventilation while adhering to company safety requirements and programs Able to perform all duties in a safe manner at all times
- Able to maintain a clean driving record and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
- Flexibility and willingness to work with teams
