Systems Administrators perform a variety of technical duties by providing coordination, maintenance, upgrades, and overall technical support for computer systems. Systems Administrators evaluate and modify systems to assure proper security and operation. They plan, coordinate, and implement system software program release changes for enterprise servers and resolve technology problems and provide for system enhancements and technical support and assistance to users.

**This position is Contract Contingent upon Funding Award. ** 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Maintains and supports the integrity of the operating system environment and various computer systems.
• Performs systems maintenance tasks, such as system back-up, recovery, and file maintenance to promote uptime and efficient performance.
• Acquires, installs, and tests system software upgrades and computer components.
• Configures software and resolves technical problems.
• Maintains documentation of IT infrastructure and troubleshooting procedures.

Minimum Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 3years experience in a DoD environment.

Knowledge and Skills

• A strong working knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software.
• Good problem-solving, analytical, and team-working skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• An openness to learning new technologies

Education

• High School Diploma

Clearance

• DoD active Secret clearance

Other

 May require the following certifications:

• CompTIA Security
• Computing Environment Certification.
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Windows Server 2016
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
