MAG Aerospace is Hiring a RF Engineering Training & Development Specialist Near Falls, NJ

Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is seeking to hire an RF Engineering Training & Development Specialist to join our team based out of Tinton Falls, NJ! In this role, you will bring your subject matter expertise from the field of RF Engineering to support program operations. Additionally, you will lead training and development initiatives by creating course curriculum and technical manuals/documentation to advance RF Engineering efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Exercising expertise in use of test and evaluation equipment (i.e. Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Frequency Counters, Power Meters and Sensors) in pursuit of testing and performance evaluation activities
  • Preparing clear and concise testing and results presentations to be briefed to stakeholders (management and customers)
  • Development of documentation in support of operations, maintenance, and training
  • Travel to CONUS and OCONUS Government sites for testing & training activities, RF alignments, and system deployments
  • Work as part of a team with software engineers and participate in the design and implementation of system upgrades/future releases
  • Configure and operate RF matrix switches

Requirements

Minimum RequirementsKnowledge and Skills

  • Understanding of Digital, Analog, and Mixed signal high speed testing
  • Strong familiarity in RF concepts and waveform theory
  • Ability to compute required satellite bandwidth and power resources, link budgets, terminal and network throughput
  • Ability to make analysis and trades of network access schemes and topology as a function of mission requirements
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and evaluate test results
  • Ability to summarize information for use in plans, procedures, test reports, and presentations
  • Must be able to document test results in a clear and concise fashion at both the engineering and laypersons’ levels
  • Experience with Visio or similar diagramming and vector graphics applications
  • Experience with MS Office applications or related technical writing applications in order to create documentation (i.e. reports, manuals, course curriculum)
  • Must have 5 years of RF Engineering or related technical experience

Education

  • High School Diploma

Desired Requirements

  • Previous assignments within a DoD/Military environment
  • Experience with testing satellite terminals and antennas
  • Experience with cesium standard timing methodology
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field

Other Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or be eligible to obtain one
