Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is seeking an experienced Lead Engineer with strong expert knowledge in software/web application that can collaborate with system users, requirements owners, and developmental contractors to translate operational requirements into software requirements, designs, and implementations. The successful candidate will provide oversight to contractor software development activities, to include as a supporting team member in agile development paradigm activities (e.g., scrums, sprint retrospectives), developing software acceptance criteria, and generating recommendations to the government Assistant Product Manager regarding development, development planning, development/test automation tools, requirements prioritization, test, evaluation, cross-system integration, and fielding/delivery, and post-delivery support of software-based systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Understand the capabilities, functionalities and limitations of the application.
• Be able to learn and then leverage more advanced development concepts such CI/CD and DevOps.
• Makes recommendations for business process improvements with an understanding of technical problems and solutions as they relate to the technology needs.
• Excellent communications skills including the ability to generate and deliver focused briefings on complex topics.
• Ability to work on, and/or lead, multi-functional/multi-disciplinary teams.

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

• Must be a US Citizen and must currently possess a TS DoD Security Clearance with the ability to attain SCI.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Must have 5 years of direct experience with software development.
• Must have 2 years of experience managing software teams.
• Must have 2 years in cyber or C5ISR systems.
• Must have experience with version control systems (e.g., Mercurial, Git).
• Must possess IT infrastructure knowledge and understand network protocols.
• Must have knowledge of attack vectors and methodologies.
• Must be familiar with monitoring/data collection software tools (i.e., Splunk, Alchemy).
• BS and/or graduate degree(s) in Engineering or Information Technology

Desired Requirements

• Experience in Cyber Operations Center
• DevOp tools (e.g, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, BitBucket, Git, Nexus).
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery.
• Experience with Unix-based (to include Linux and Android) and Windows Operating Systems.
• Familiarity with application programming interfaces, familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Experience with Powershell Installation scripting.
• Experience with HTML, Java, JavaScript development.
• Experience working with web services.
• Ability to work to increase code coverage of application unit tests.
• TS/SCI preferred.
