We arerecruiting for a building supply client who is looking to hire anexperienced Outside Sales Representative based anywhere in VirginiaThis is a salary uncapped commission role and you would have aterritory that is miles from where you live You MUST live in Virginia and have at least TWO years of sales experience inthe building supply industry selling to builders andcontractors

Demonstratesindepth knowledge experience and skills to effectively representthe company with the largest or most complex customers Understand customer s needs and identifies products and services tomeet these requirements  Participates in a leadership rolehelping train and develop less experienced members of the salesstaff  May also act as Sales Manager during his / herabsence 

ESSENTIALDUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES

  • Representsthe company during the sales process by collecting data on customerneeds and design specifications and acting as a liaison betweeninside technical / design staff and customer in developing salesproposals  Possesses the experience and knowledge toeffectively handle complex or highly specialized customerrequirements
  • Developssales contracts for a wide range of projects including residentialmultifamily and commercial by collecting specification informationfrom the client s engineer or architect of record and conveyingneeds and changes to technical staff andmanagement
  • Troubleshootsfield issues which may be difficult to resolve or are complex innature
  • Effectivelyplans and conducts sales presentations for current and prospectivecustomers  Designs professional demonstrations orpresentations of company products and services and providesclarification on how we can meet their specificneeds
  • Researchesidentifies and solicits new customers  Generates salesopportunities through research on client needs industry competitionand effective demonstration of the features and benefits of thecompany s products andservices
  • Continuouslyupdates customers on products and services and providesexplanations how these products and services meet current or futurecustomerrequirements
  • Participatesin a leadership role such as chairing meetings acting in the SalesManager s capacity during his / her absence and helping train anddevelop less experienced members of the salesstaff
  • Mayprovide training to less experienced Outside SalesReps
  • Preparesrecurring and special reports forms or other documentation formanagement asrequired

Requirements

MINIMUMREQUIREMENTS

Bachelors degree in Sales Marketing or related field plus two () yearsprior sales experience or equivalent combination of education andexperience
