Madisonville Christmas Company is an 11-acre business that is a year-round destination for all things Christmas. Onsite, we have a Christmas store, outdoor pavilion / lawn, café, sports bar, and several food trucks. Position Overview: As a Barista you will give the first impression of the store to the guest. You must be knowledgeable with items in Café 1252 and the store. Must provide a welcoming energy, interact, and serve the guest the needs in Café 1252. Must be able to work in a fast pace environment and work in close quarters with others.

Job Duties:

• Welcoming customers, informing them about specials or new items, answering questions, and accepting orders and payments.
• Learning about brewing methods, beverage recipes, and presentation techniques to improve food quality.
• Packaging and serving guest foods, such as baked goods, grinding and blending coffee beans, brewing coffee and tea.
• Educating guests about our menu/ grab and go/ store items.
• Expediting beverages orders together so the guests get their drinks together.
• Expediting food so the guests get their food together. Making sure they have all of their necessary items like silverware, napkins, condiments.
• Cleaning and restocking work and dining areas, emptying trash, and sanitizing equipment and utensils.
• Updating signage and displays to give guest pricing on product.
• Taking inventory and replenishing items in display cases, at tables, or behind the counter. Working as part of a fun, high-energy team.
• Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls.

Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for 6-8 hour shifts
• Must be able to multitask
• Must be eligible to work weekends, either AM or PM shifts.
• Lift 20-25 lbs
• Fast pace high energy job
• Must have Food Service Certification from approved Texan Institution

Compensation: $12-14/hour plus tips

Schedule:

• 30-37 hours per week
• Potential to go full time
