Madison Regional Health System is seeking a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to be a part of the Madison Regional Health System mission: Committed to providing quality healthcare, close to home.
Our Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is an essential part of our Rehab team and is responsible for caring for patients ranging in age from infant to geriatric, meeting the patient's goals and needs and provides quality care by implementing occupational therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians and occupational therapists. Helps patients accomplish treatment plan and secures necessary durable medical equipment and adaptive equipment for patients to facilitate independence. Settings include inpatient, outpatient, pediatric. Excellent customer service, attention to detail, great telephone etiquette, computer knowledge, and the ability to multi-task in pressure/stressful situations are essential. The successful candidate must have a a valid South Dakota COTA license and an Associate degree. CPR certification required.
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant works Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. The working conditions will be in a clean, well-lighted area, with occasional sitting, standing, kneeling, bending, stooping, and frequent repetitive motion of the hands/wrists involved. Exposure to infectious diseases, body fluids, odors and dusts. Will be required to operate general rehab equipment.

Full-time positions come with Madison Regional Health System's benefits package and a competitive salary. MRHS offers retention pay to individuals who have worked at the facility for greater than one year. Madison Regional Health System employees receive a discount at the on-site cafeteria. Mileage reimbursement is an added benefit for this position. This position is eligible for Rural Assistance Program Application.
