Job Functions and Responsibilities
As a Procurement Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our Supply Chain Management team's commercial procurement strategies. Responsibilities include:
  • Establishing and nurturing strategic relationships with suppliers and consultants to facilitate service agreements for clean, renewable energy projects, including construction, maintenance, and operations.
  • Tracking supply chain requirements, conducting sourcing activities, and leading competitive bidding processes to negotiate agreements effectively.
  • Collaborating with operations teams to analyze procurement options and provide recommendations for equipment supply that align with our pipeline of renewable energy projects.
  • Staying informed about current market conditions and assessing their potential impact on cost, lead time, and supply availability.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to all procurement policies and procedures, with a focus on continuous improvement in reporting, vendor management, and process optimization.
  • Supporting all necessary systems and tools required for procurement activities, including purchasing and contract management systems, third-party vendor management, and reporting tools.
Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
  • Working knowledge of materials and inventory management, logistics, quality assurance, and maintenance operations.
  • Experience with SAP Procurement and Ariba, with the ability to exercise independent judgment in procurement processes and strategy development.
Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, finance, engineering, or equivalent work experience/training.
  • Mid-level candidates with 2-5 years of relevant experience and a proven track record of achievement are encouraged to apply.
