Madden’s is currently seeking Watersport Instructors who will supervise guests and employees with Ski Instruction, Wakeboarding instruction, Wake surfing instruction and water taxi rides while enforcing all water safety policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervises all guests and employees while on company watercraft at all times to ensure their safety.
• Administers first aid to minor injuries such as small cuts and bruises of those who may require it
• Assists in organizing ski instruction and other lessons for guests and employees as directed by department manager.
• Maintains cleanliness of Madden’s operations according to established daily maintenance procedures.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of department programs, events, and activities. Answers guest questions regarding such programs.
• Records all cash, check, and charges based on established cash control procedures.
• Maintains understanding of operating procedures for tennis, croquet, lawn bowling, bikes, boats, and rental equipment.
• Completes checklist for opening, closing, and daily procedures.
• Takes direction from marina manager.
• Assists in the implementation of programs, special events, and conference recreation events; such as scavenger hunts and team building programs.
• Provides safe environment within facilities and activities.
• Processes recreation passes as needed.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Maintains the water park and ensures that it is functional at all times

Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a team and coordinate work functions with fellow workers.
• Knowledge of the Brainerd Lakes area is preferred.
• Must be able to keep a calm, professional manner under stressful situations.
• Maintains a proactive “Can Do” attitude.
