Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking to fill a Structural Welder/Fabricator position with our fabrication shop, Madden Fabrication, located in NW Portland. The person in this position will be working on several projects utilizing blueprints and welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

PAY: $28-$34/hr

Structural Welder/Fabricator Responsibilities:

• Most projects utilize flux core dual shield and hardwire MIG.
• Other projects may require stainless MIG, TIG and/or stick knowledge.
• Fit and fabricate.
• Work on structural steel columns, beams, stairs, canopies, embeds, access ladders, handrails, grab bars and much more.
• Complete occasional field work in the Portland Metro area as necessitated by jobs.

Structural Welder/Fabricator Qualifications:

• Able to read blueprints.
• Fit and Fabrication skills required.
• Excellent wirefeed MIG skills.
• TIG experience is a plus.
• Strong ability to self-manage.
• AWS D1.1 certification preferred.
• Must have proper tools to accomplish jobs.
• Forklift and overhead crane operation experience.
• Ability to read a tape measure and other layout tools proficiently.
• Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Pass a drug screen.
• Must be willing to be clean shaven for a respirator fit test.
