Position Overview:
Seeking an engaging Bartender with a passion for hospitality and a determination to provide guests with a memorable experience. The ideal candidate is energetic, attentive, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Guest Satisfaction
· - ensuring a warm, fun, and exciting environment
· - anticipating, delivering, and exceeding guests’ expectations
· - communicating with guests clearly, patiently, and courteously
· - performing calmly and effectively under pressure
· - understanding the menu and preparation techniques to answer any menu related questions
Service
· - checking identification to verify legal age requirements for all guests
· - efficiently preparing beverages and craft/signature cocktails as orders are placed by guests or Servers
· - executing proper sanitation practices and safety procedures
· - protecting establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
· - continuously monitoring guests’ alcohol intake to adhere with beverage control policies
Bar Operations
· - opening and closing the bar according to company guidelines, and Dept. of Health standards
· - ensuring beverage orders come out in a timely fashion
· - continuously streamlining speed of service and beverage preparation without sacrificing quality
· - continuously maintaining high standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the bar
· - preparing ingredients for service (e.g. slicing fruit and garnishes)
· - restocking supplies and beverages as necessary, ensuring bar is stocked for subsequent shifts
Sales
· - accurately accounting for all guest checks issued
· - accurately recording and accounting for all items ordered and served
· - accepting/processing payments from guests
· - accurately accounting for and balancing all sales and receipts
Qualifications:
· - Work authorization required
· - Minimum 1 year bartending experience required (or combination of schooling, training, experience)
· - Must exhibit excellent listening and communication skills to engage with guests and restaurant personnel
· - Demonstrate knowledge of classic cocktails
· - Adept at preparing cocktails using an extensive range of ingredients
· - Able to stand and walk for entire shift
· - Able to grasp, reach overhead, push, lift and carry up to 50 lbs
· - Able to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
· - Dependable and motivated with a strong work ethic
· - Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays
· - Understanding of food safety procedures
