GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Under the administrative direction of the Director of Clinical Services and as a member of the Macon Resources, Inc. (MRI) Management Team, the Director of Community Living Services is responsible for the development, implementation, evaluation, and day-to-day operation of the 24-hour Community Living Services of MRI. Ensures that all Community Living Services meet applicable local, state, and federal laws, licensure/certification/accreditation standards, agency policies, and procedures, and meet the needs of individuals served.

This position would be a great role for an ADON or Nurse Manager!

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates 24-hour Community Living Services including CILA homes; Manages 24-hour clinical services in compliance with agency policies and procedures and standards; communicates standards regarding accreditation, licensure, and certification to staff; plans and coordinates activities to achieve and maintain accreditation, licensure, and certification of CLS provided by MRI.

• Provides supervision and training to Residential Service Managers/Individual Program Managers; Directs/ensures the implementation of Individual Program Plans (IPPs); monitors methods employed, coordination of services, and documentation of results; monitors intake, referral, enrollment, and disenrollment procedures for MRI vocational, residential and community supports.

• Acts as a liaison between Macon Resources, Inc. (MRI) employees, Independent Service Coordination units, outside service providers and families of individuals served to ensure services are person-centered and responsive to individual needs and goals.

• Confers and collaborates with the Chief Financial Officer and Finance Director, and prepares and submits budgets to ensure that 24-hour Community Living Services is fiscally responsible; that budget plan and actual expenditures are maintained within acceptable levels, and that billing and attendance information is submitted to the business office for submission to funders.

• Collaborates with the Executive Team in the procurement of funds for Community Living Services (CLS); strengthens existing services through resource development and management to maximize program and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree required and three years of work experience in the field of developmental disabilities and mental illness.

• Five or more years of progressively more responsible administrative and management experience. This experience in the field of human services or developmental disabilities is preferred.

• Must be able to counsel advise, teach, resolve conflicts, and direct staff and families.

• Must have the ability to write grant requests, action plans, and proposals to develop resources.

• Must have the ability to manage a 12-month budget.

• Must be able to communicate by telephone or in-person, without the assistance of adaptive equipment that another individual must operate.

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
