SECTION IA – GENERAL SKILL/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
The Data Analyst will complete general data validation and clean up in support of the Port Department’s development of its asset management program. The analyst will be responsible for preparing, managing, and administering data confirming its integrity and accuracy. Ensuring the data is consistent with the Enterprise data standards and the Port Departments business requirements.
SECTION IB – GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor of Science Degree in computer science, engineering, construction management,
accounting, economic or business administration discipline.
2. Demonstrated leadership skills and experience working in a diverse workforce with varying work backgrounds, expertise, and levels.
3. Strong interpersonal skills.
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to make concise presentations to a variety of audiences.
5. Proficient in the use of various computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
6. Demonstrated experience with any or all the following: Maximo, Assetworks, Esri Arc GIS, Oracle, COGNOS, SAP, BIM, CAD, RFID, SNMP, GPS enabled handheld/tablet.
7. A valid driver's license is strongly preferred, as the position will require the incumbent to travel independently to the various Port Authority facilities.
8. Understand the Agency’s asset management plan and maintenance strategy and the relation to maintenance activities Knowledge of Port Authority policies, the business planning process, and the Port Authority budget process.
9. Working knowledge of maintenance management, infrastructure management, or asset
management issues including, but not limited to, key performance measures for maintenance management, condition-based asset management strategies and asset lifecycle considerations.
10. Experience with the management of the QA/QC of asset data in Maximo 7.6, 8.4 or 8.5.
11. An understanding of Port Authority operations, maintenance, or construction contracts.
12. Leadership skills and experience managing a diverse workforce with varying work backgrounds, expertise, and levels.
13. Working knowledge of labor agreements for facility operations and maintenance staff.
14. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to be persuasive with staff at all levels.
15. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to make concise presentations to a variety of audiences.
16. Proficient in the use of various computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project.

SECTION II – DESCRIPTION OF SPECIFIC TASK ASSIGNMENT
1. Working knowledge of Maximo or similar CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management system) and its use to accomplish Preventative, Corrective, and Emergency work, including scheduling, updating the status and labor management, and naming conventions.
2. Demonstrated experience in data analytics.
3. Complete data pulls required manipulation queries. Interpreting the data using critical thinking and predictive analytics associated with problem solving and Excel spreadsheets.
4. Experience in implementing business process improvement changes in enterprise environment.
5. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of internal and external staff.
6. Experience working collaboratively with cross departmental teams.
7. Demonstrated experience with the use of personal computers, including the Microsoft Office suite of tools: Office 365, intermediate to advance excel skills, intermediate SharePoint, Visio and basic Google Earth, maps, etc.
8. Working experience in Facility and Operations Management environment
9. Self-motivated, the ability to multi-task and work independently or in a team environment and prioritize assignments.
10. Recommend and implement modifications for the existing procedures and reporting systems that the asset management project team and maintenance use to oversee and control the projects, maintenance budgets and schedules.
11. Work with the facility maintenance team to schedule, prioritize, track, and report the status and completion of all work orders.
12. Develop and maintain reports to measure and analyze the performance and effectiveness of maintenance practices.
SECTION III – SPECIFIC TASK ASSIGNMENT:
Anticipated Assignment Duration: One year
Reporting Location: New Jersey Marine Terminal, Newark NJ; however, services are anticipated to be at various Port Authority facilities and are subject to change as required by the Authority.
