Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician who will work within a team to disassemble, diagnose, assemble, and validate a variety of components, tooling, and manufactured systems with a heavy emphasis on gears and gearbox assemblies. We are one of the largest job shops in the Pacific Northwest and take on custom, complex projects large and small from aerospace, heavy equipment, naval vessels, energy production and more.
Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 p/h

As an Assembly Technician you will:
· Work from blueprints, manuals, drawings, and other instructions to assemble, disassemble, and evaluate mechanical and electrical components for large, custom projects; mostly related to gearbox assemblies.
· Run testing equipment to ensure proper functionality before final assembly and packaging!
· Complete required paperwork both listing repairs to be made and signing off on completion of components for delivery.
· Participate in meetings to coordinate scheduling and organization of work to be completed.
· Assist in developing procedures to ensure quality and increased productivity.
The Qualified candidates will:
· Have a strong background in reading and understanding blueprints, mechanical and electrical schematics.
· Be skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, overhead cranes, forklifts, and other equipment necessary to complete the job.
· Always be safety conscious, utilizing proper PPE and 5S procedures to ensure a clean and efficient working environment.
· Have excellent communication skills able to have technical conversations with both coworkers and customers as required.
