General DescriptionThis position provides Senior Solutions Architecture support to the AF Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) Program Office’s Requirements (XR) group at Robins AFB, GA. The successful candidate provides solutions architecture analysis and development, identifying solutions for incoming user requirements for the DCGS portfolio. The candidate will also craft integrated systems designs, traceability matrices, technical reports, documentation, and dependency mapping and help transform the way DCGS integrates with the IC, C/JADC2, and ABMS, and use technology, including cloud migration, integrating advanced technology, and modernizing legacy systems. This requirement includes creating solutions that integrate existing and evolving governance and user requirements with the goal of using solutions architecture to eliminate redundancy, build efficiency, and optimize utilization of resources.Duties and responsibilitiesThe successful candidate will perform the following:
  • Partner with government personnel and working groups to develop solutions to user requirements considering existing plans and roadmaps that support a “future view” of technology implementation.
  • Apply complex systems engineering concepts to existing and new user requirements, recommending implementation within the DCGS portfolio.
  • Perform requirements management for new user requirements including the development of traceability matrices of requirements to solution/system components.
  • Introduce the use of complex information systems capabilities such as artificial intelligence, modeling languages, process automation, and cloud computing to satisfy user requirements.
  • Apply advanced engineering methods to IT systems including Networks, Infrastructure, Platform Services, Software Applications, etc.
Specialized KnowledgeThe successful candidate will have knowledge and expertise in the following areas:
  • Understand solution and enterprise architecture principles, purposes, structures, use cases, and concepts.
  • Experience in systems engineering background and in concepts, requirements management, and delivery and architecture integration.
  • DoD Acquisition Category I, II, or III processes and programs for managing large, complex information systems.
  • Ability to apply advanced engineering and architecture methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced technical challenges, aligning software applications, services, platforms, and networks.
  • Experience working with new technologies such as AI, LLM, process automation, and cloud computing.
  • Experience integrating IT-enabled business solutions for DoDAF, the DoD, or the Intelligence Community, including SIGINT, GEOINT, AI/ML, and Fusion operations.
  • Knowledge of Project Management, Portfolio Management, Risk Management, Financial Management, and Change Management frameworks to process modeling, IT management, and architecture activities.
Education Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or related fields of study.Professional CertificationsNone.Clearance Security clearance, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI if necessary.Experience10-15 years of experience working in Systems Engineering concepts, requirements management, or architectural integration for IT Systems.U.S. Citizen or SimilarMust be a U.S. CitizenOther Characteristics (e.g., Personal or Language)Excellent oral, written, and communication in English. Must be able to work in a team environment with members that include personnel from other companies, Government program management and administrative personnel, and technical staff members.Working conditions, including locationA combination of remote and at least one to two days each week on-site at Robins AFB, GA.Client duty hours are Monday through Friday.
