Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our legal team. As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for providing legal support and assistance to our clients. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about the law and wants to make a difference.
Duties:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various issues
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts
- Assist with negotiations and settlements
- Prepare for and participate in hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases
- Manage and prioritize multiple cases simultaneously
- Perform legal administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Illinois bar association
- Strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures
- Proficiency in Westlaw research platform
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Skills:
- Legal research: Proficient in conducting thorough legal research using various resources such as Westlaw.
- Legal drafting: Skilled in drafting various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and agreements.
- Negotiation: Ability to negotiate effectively on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Litigation: Experience in preparing for and participating in hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
- Legal administrative: Capable of handling legal administrative tasks efficiently.
