m2 Performance Strategies (m2) is a full-service association management firm offering management, marketing and strategic initiative services to clients in the non-profit and for-profit sectors. M2 is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana and is searching for an engaged team member to serve in a Community Outreach and Workforce Development role for our client, the Indiana Careers in Construction Association.

The Indiana Careers in Construction Association (ICCA) represents more than sixty different construction apprenticeship training facilities throughout Indiana. The mission of the ICCA is to educate career bound and college bound Hoosiers about educational and career opportunities in the construction Industry. Role Responsibilities:

The new position will be responsible for development and execution of a professional outreach program designed to educate teachers, high school students, parents, school counselors and community leaders about career opportunities in the construction industry. Through intermediary services i.e., career discovery meetings, career coaching and navigation support, the successful candidate will conduct in-person career counseling with individuals seeking guidance on construction career options. Assist with goal and action planning, skills assessment and development, strategic job search support, interview coaching, industry knowledge sharing and professional growth recommendations.

The ideal candidate will take ownership of the execution of the outreach plan, including weekly presentations to high schools, community groups and workforce development partners. Successful candidates will be innovative, interested in making suggestions to improve key messaging, marketing materials and social media programming designed to attract new members to our construction workforce. In addition, the ideal candidate will be prepared to engage local, state and regional workforce development leaders in an effort to forge partnerships and secure opportunities for the ICCA.

Necessary Skills:

· Strong knowledge of marketing and customer service, including market research, prospect calling and strong presentation skills.

· Strong writing and communication skills.

· Adept at making an effective presentation designed to generate two-way communication.

· IT Proficient – including website and database maintenance, ability to maintain and add records, run reports and manipulate lists in a web- based association management platform, Microsoft Office Applications, email, email marketing,

· Extremely well-organized, goal-oriented and very high attention to detail.

· Must be able to understand the end goal and be able to create and execute the step-by-step tasks needed to accomplish the goal. Must be a self-starter.

Preferred Skills:

· Prefer a candidate with marketing experience in the profit or non-profit sector.

· Familiarity with commercial construction industry and understanding of various roles within the industry is preferred, but not required if strong marketing skills are in place.

· Prior experience in career counseling, coaching, or mentoring is highly advantageous.

· Familiarity with workforce development initiatives, industry trends and labor market insight are a plus.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Develop and maintain database of school and adult education contacts interested in learning more about careers in the union construction industry.

· Implement strategic community outreach programs to increase communication with teachers, students, parents, guidance counselors, adult education coordinators and community leaders.

· Forge strong relationships with local, state and regional workforce development partners and associations.

· Plan and execute events to cultivate relationships within targeted markets.

· Develop and implement strategy for increasing industry partnerships designed to support the ICCA.

· Respond promptly to inquiries from prospects. Connect prospects with a union construction leader in their area.

· Assist in updating marketing materials, including letters, flyers for upcoming events, welcome packets, fact sheets, directories, surveys.
