Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and organized individual to join our team as a Host/Hostess. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences by warmly welcoming guests, managing reservations, and coordinating seating arrangements. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests as they arrive with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
• Manage reservations, including confirming, modifying, and canceling as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized lobby area, ensuring it is presentable at all times.
• Provide accurate wait times and manage the seating chart efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist guests with any inquiries, special requests, or concerns they may have.
• Monitor the dining room for seating availability, cleanliness, and overall guest satisfaction.
• Collaborate with servers to ensure timely seating and service.
• Handle guest complaints or issues professionally and escalate to management when necessary.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to answer guest questions accurately.
• Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness of the restaurant, including clearing and resetting tables.
• Perform opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Uphold company standards for customer service and hospitality at all times.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• A positive attitude and a passion for providing exceptional guest experiences.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using OpenTable reservation management software.
• Knowledge of food and beverage industry terminology.
• Multilingual skills a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
