M&S Security Services Inc. is Hiring a Collections Specialist Near Bakersfield, CA

M & S Security Services is a family-owned and operated company providing guard and alarm installation services to all of Kern County. We have been serving the San Joaquin Valley since 1972. Although, we are the only local company offering both guard services and alarm systems, the complete package. Our team handles all types of business from residential to multi-facility large corporate clientele. Many of our customers have been with us since our inception in 1972.

This position is responsible for creating solutions to collect past-due payments from customers, assisting with general billing questions, completing general clerical work, and providing excellence in customer service. The successful candidate exhibits a positive approach to all situations and remains professional in their interactions with customers. Strong attention to detail is a necessity.
Responsibilities:

  • Collect on past due accounts
  • Maintain a professional attitude toward customers always
  • Processing Payments
  • Follow up with customers that have payment issues
  • Accurately and promptly document account activity
  • Handle basic customer service issues
  • General clerical work such as answering phones, filing etc.
  • Complete daily work based on established guidelines

Requirements: Skills:

  • Ability to be assertive and persistent
  • Knowledge of multi-line phone system
  • Organization skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Close attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Proficient in navigating and operating a computer running MS Outlook and MS Office.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
