MÜNZING NORTH AMERICA is Hiring a Payroll and Benefits Specialist Near Bloomfield, NJ

Munzing is seeking an experienced Payroll and Benefits Specialist at our Corporate Office in Bloomfield, NJ. The HR & Office Administrator will report to the Director of Human Resources and will play an active role in processing payroll, and may be the primary contact person for any HR-related inquiries. This role provides administrative support to the HR team with the highest degree of professionalism, confidentiality, organization and attention to detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Prepare and submit bi-weekly payroll for all North American sites (3)
  • Process garnishments, third-party payments, and handle all payroll changes
  • Manage the time and attendance tracking system including LOA’s and accrual banks
  • Send new hire benefits information and facilitate the enrollment process
  • Ensure timely and accurate new hire enrollment and provide necessary details
  • Maintain documents related to 401k benefits
  • Oversee the procurement office/kitchen supplies, keep inventory and place orders as necessary
  • Act as the primary contact for facility and building management
  • Receive and sort incoming mail
  • Maintain employee files and documents
  • Prepare and provide Verification of Employment forms and simple letters as needed
  • Track & order gifts as per policy for employee milestones and anniversaries
  • Ensure employee / HR records are properly maintained and are up to date in all HR systems
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3-5 years HR experience; minimum 2 years multi-state payroll experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with Paychex payroll and Time & Attendance platform
  • Ability to quickly learn the HRIS and benefit management systems
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to work an eight (8) hour shift in an office environment. Must have the ability to sit for long periods of time. Will be required to use phone daily to answer customer needs. Will be required to use computer daily to effectively complete job functions for entire shift.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office environment.

Job Classification: Salaried/Exempt

Schedule: Monday – Friday (8:00am - 4:30pm)

Hours: 40 Hours, Full-time
