Job purpose

• The purpose of this job is to assist all in the department with the daily shipping functions. This is an entry level position.

Duties and responsibilities

• Preparing Home Depot for shipping daily.
• Managing and reporting Home Depot inventory accurately.
• Assisting with preparing pallets and/or boxes for shipment (i.e. banding, shrink wrapping, etc.).
• Cleaning and organizing warehouse as needed.
• Is aware of surroundings and focuses on learning to perform duties safely.

Qualifications

• This is an entry level position with a high school diploma or GED preferred.
• Applicant must be able to read and write legibly.
• Must be able to count accurately.
• Needs to be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Daily attendance at the plant is required.

Working conditions

This is a manufacturing warehouse without heat or air conditioning. The floors are concrete with no floor covering. This job may involve shift work and you may be working days, evenings, or nights. It might also require working some weekends and holidays.

Physical requirements

This job will require the candidate to be able to walk and stand on concrete floors for 8 hours. It will be necessary to be able to lift 50 lbs. frequently during the shift. The job will also entail a lot of bending, stooping and manual dexterity.
