Lyneer Staffing Solutions is Hiring an Operation Manager Near Newark, NJ

Our client specializes in overweight transloads in Newark, NJ. They are currently seeking a Operation Manager to join their team. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a proven track record in management.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning- Ability to identify and plan for staffing requirements based on knowledge of warehousing and distribution operations. Make decisions based on experience and operations planning. Ensures that procedures and processes match the requirements of the operation. Capability to train and implement new technology and processes while maintaining productivity.
  • Building an inclusive culture– Individual and collective accountability, reward and recognition programs, communication designed to frontline employees and build a desirable place to work.
  • Continuous Improvement- Development and implementation of performance-based metrics to drive results through continuous improvement programs such as lean six sigma.
  • Execution– Ability to execute plans and get results through others and identification of gaps and opportunities. Looking for ways to improve day-to-day workflow.
  • Safety- Provide safety instructions to personnel as needed. Report all work-related injuries immediately. Provide immediate medical attention to injured employees as necessary. Ensure compliance with appropriate government regulations.

Experience:

  • A relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Accounting, Business or Logistics Management)
  • 3-5 years of direct supervisor level experience within a distribution environment
  • 3 years Operations management experience
  • Supply Chain supervisory experience.
  • Functional system understanding in WMS, Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint

Pay and Shift:

  • Monday- Friday Some weekends are a must.
  • 1st Shift 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • $70.000 - $85.000

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Experience level:

  • 5 years

  • 8 hour shift

  • Morning shift

Weekly day range:

  • Monday to Friday
