- Fast start-date· Weekly Pay (Pay Card or Direct Deposit)· Holiday & Vacation Pay· Insurance optionsKey duties and details for Machine Operator Production : · The basic function of this job is to operate a machine at any step in the process that produces a quality wood case pencil· Packaging (Box, Blister, Bag or Bulk Pack)· Able to read work orders· Keeps hopper full of pencils, erasers and ferrules· Visually monitors machine operation throughout the day· Makes machine adjustments· May be required to get necessary material· Grades product 100% for defects· Packs into boxes and cartons· Fills out daily labor cards· Assists with routine preventative maintenance· Keep machine and area clean· Knows and follows safety policies· May operate a Machine with an attached blower, this does not affect the basic operation
- Might assist other departments : o Shaping Department (Groover, Core Layer, Glue Table, Clamper or Shaper)o Paint Department (Paint Line)o Printer (Foil Imprint - Wego or Rubber)o Printer-Tipper (Foil Imprint and applying Ferrule / Eraser)o Pointer (Sharpening of pencil)
- Other duties as required
