The CNC Machine Operator responsibilities:
- Use required personal protective safety equipment and follow safety rules.
- Read and understand operating procedures relative to job being performed.
- Operate machinery and hand tools.
- Handwork (filing, grinding, sanding) per casting work instructions.
- Communicate any casting discrepancies with the casting to Supervisor or Lead.
- Housekeeping
- Complete all other duties assigned by Supervisor.
The CNC Machine Operator must have:
- Ability to repeatedly handle castings weighing up to 30-35 lbs. (for castings weighing in excess of this amount hoists are used).
- Ability to repeatedly position parts weighing up to 90 lbs.
- Ability to bend, twist, turn side to side.
