OB TITLE: Groundskeeper

DEPARTMENT: Grounds

REPORTS TO: Director of Grounds

HOURS: 7:30am - 3:30pm - Full time position

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for Twin Lakes Community campus grounds maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Cuts lawns
2. Trims and edges
3. Uses blower to remove grass clippings and leaves
4. Prunes shrubs and trees
5. Removes damaged leaves, branches and twigs
6. Sprays lawns, plants, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer, herbicides, and pesticides using hand or automatic sprayer
7. Waters lawns, shrubs, and flowers
8. Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of campus irrigation system
9. Maintains paths, sidewalks, or road surfaces
10. Performs ground maintenance duties, using a tractor equipped with attachments, such as: lime and/or fertilizer spreaders, lawn roller and/or aerator
11. Operates tractor or trucks equipped with snow removal equipment to keep roads cleared during inclement weather
12. Shovels sidewalks during snow events
13. Makes minor repair to mowers and other equipment
14. Sharpens and cleans tools
15. Maintains and paints various street and informational signs on campus
16. Erects and places various Christmas decorations throughout the campus
17. Helps with resident trash pick up as required
18. Tracks annual equipment repair cost and schedules preventative maintenance
19. May be required to perform other duties in keeping with the nature of this position which will not significantly alter the job requirements.

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• One or more years of experience in landscaping preferred.
