Skilled Nursing Care Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

We’re currently seeking dedicated LPNs for our skilled nursing healthcare center at Spang Crest, a Luthercare community in Lebanon, PA. To help with more of a balance of life we are now offering the following positions which would consist of week days and no weekend requirement (Mondays-Fridays) 7am-3pm. We currently have FT and PT positions available on this schedule.

WHAT YOU DO:

As an LPN at the Spang Crest Healthcare Center, you’re an integral part of providing compassionate care to the residents in our skilled nursing center and ensuring they are comfortable by monitoring their overall health and well-being. You’ll do this in several ways, including:

• Supervise an assigned skilled nursing area. Designate tasks and provide instruction and direction in methods and techniques of nursing and resident care in accordance with established standards and procedures. Ensure that nursing care plans, charts, and treatment schedules are followed by nursing staff. Perform nursing duties following licensure scope of practice.
• Administer physician-ordered pharmacological agents, therapeutic treatments, peripheral IV therapy, and hypodermic injections. Observe, objectively interpret, record and report resident’s response.
• Provide information/updates to nursing staff, supervisors, administration, physicians, and other disciplines as appropriate to coordinate continuity of care.

Our LPNs are assisted by Certified Nursing Assistants and Hospitality Aides in providing care to our residents.

Spang Crest, located at 945 Duke Street in Lebanon, is a 105-bed skilled nursing and rehab center. The community is part of Luthercare, which is a not-for-profit, faith-based, and mission-driven organization based in Lititz, Pa. Luthercare provides a network of services through its full continuum of care with three communities in Lancaster and Lebanon Counties.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Current PA Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Current CPR Certification
