HOURS: 2 pm to 6 pm, Monday through Friday through May 24, 2024. Additional hours available during summer months. Summer hours are flexible and vary between 6:45 am to 6:15 pm, Monday through Friday.

RESPONSIBILITIES: If you are looking to work with kids in a fun and casual environment, LSS Childcare & Education Services has the perfect opportunity available. Our school age Assistant Teacher will supervise children ages 5 and up the remainder of this school year and throughout summer. Staff lead children in recreational activities, including arts and crafts, games, and implementing lesson plans designed to be both fun and educational. Our staff supervise regular trips to the local spray park, libraries, parks, swimming pool and more. 

This position will be based at Hilltop United Methodist in Sioux Falls. Staff have an opportunity to supervise youth from a variety of backgrounds, including English language learners. 

QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED required; plus 3 months of childcare experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be 18 years of age and be willing to develop supportive relationships with young children. Must successfully complete all agency background checks. Requires a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain approved driver status.
