THE MISSION OF LUTHERAN INDIAN MINISTRIES:The Mission of Lutheran Indian Ministries:

  • Proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Native People
  • Discipling them so that they are equipped to share their faith
  • Facilitating programs that address Native American social sufferings and historic trauma in a way that values their Native culture; helping them to heal and ultimately flourish

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and enhance strategic marketing initiatives, including traditional and digital media, to meet LIM’s objectives and increase awareness and participation of Ministry
  • Draft written content for branded emails, social media posts and campaigns, offline marketing material, web-based stories, newsletters, and blogs.
  • Ensures LIM trainings and services are professionally advertised and creates material for events, and conferences to be displayed or given out.
  • Develops improvement in process, content, deployment, and analysis.
  • Develops PR Branding for LIM and ensures consistency across the organization/sites to include standardization of monthly reports, Board reports, etc.
  • Identify opportunities for new content and PR based projects that drive organizational objectives. Responsible for LIM website content and updating.
  • Review of published documents across the organization to ensure proper grammar, accuracy, and PR guidelines.
  • Plan and develop communications to support marketing objectives such as newsletters, coverage of events, information on LIM sites and ministry progress.
  • Collect data to continually improve quality and effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
  • Research, draft and manage grants.
  • Targeted Marketing Responsibilities:
  • Develop innovative ways to reach a target demographic in each market to include the use of technology, outreach, and advertising. Gather video stories, content for website and newsletters, final review, and standardization of documents to presented publicly.
  • Perform marketing research within each community we serve to better understand and identify target audiences and needs.
  • Plan and administer community outreach and initiate new collaborations within each community we serve.
  • Direct Mail Responsibilities:
  • Develop storylines for all appeals, special messaging, newsletters, website, and/or front/back-end development pieces, review development pieces periodically for timelines and appropriateness in messaging.
  • Edit all monthly appeals, create all monthly appeal donor thank-you letters, and review appeal performance data.

MINIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires education equivalent to master’s degree in marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, or related field.
  • Requires 5-8 years of related marketing experience, including coordinating marketing and/or advertising campaigns, to include online placements.
  • Self-starter who can work independently.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Unparalleled communication, writing, and editing skills required.
  • Ability to adapt and pick-up new techniques.
  • Keen eye for graphic design, attention to detail, and creativity.
  • Proficiency with various social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Google , and Instagram.
  • Interest and knowledge of current events and marketing trends within specific geographic area(s).
  • Requires ability to lead projects and teams to accomplish goals and meet established timelines.
