Lumitex is Hiring an ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN Near Strongsville, OH

Description

The Electrical Engineering Technician will be involved in all areas of product development. In this role, you will be tasked with developing working prototypes, fixtures, and concepts of various levels and complexity for LED driven electromechanical assemblies used in the medical device applications. You will work closely with our engineering team to develop products from concept to production.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and troubleshoot electronic board assemblies using various design software
  • Interface with customers on Lumitex projects to determine requirements and specifications of various types of electronic assemblies and LED driven assemblies
  • Work with engineering teams to design and develop products to meet customer requirements
  • Engage with production personnel and manufacturing engineers to develop projects, fixtures, and prototypes for release into the production environment
  • Fabricate and develop prototype samples for customer projects as required

Requirements

  • Basic Electrical Schematics- basic knowledge of simple working circuits. Demonstrated ability to read and create simple schematic diagrams
  • Associate degree in an engineering discipline, engineering technology or equivalent 
  • Knowledge of software platforms such as SolidWorks, Altium and AutoCAD
  • Optical Engineering Knowledge a definite plus, not required
  • Soldering and machining capabilities as well as the ability to utilize various electrical measurement equipment (scopes, meters, integrating spheres, etc.) 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • 2 years’ experience in product development environment
