SITE OF SERVICE:

• Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, Fort Hood, TX
• Full Time Position

POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree: Associate degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s in Nursing
• Education: Accredited by ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
  • Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)
  • The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
• Additional Certifications: Must have the following hands-on certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

• Experience: Shall have a minimum of one (1)-year of relative experience within the last three (3)-years, which includes the care of adults and newborns.
• Licensure: Possess a current and unrestricted license to practice Registered Nurse in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Island.
• U.S. Citizenship: Shall be a U.S. citizen
• English Language Requirement: Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.
• Physical Capability: Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract.

HOURS:

• It’s a 24/7 facility therefore hours of performance shall be as set forth by the applicable Department Chief or his/her designated Government representative.
• Contractor will ensure a minimum of four (4) 12-hour shifts per month coverage per each RN.
• Hour in excess of 80-hours in a two (2) week period is considered overtime and must be approved in advance in accordance.
• A minimum 30-minute and not to exceed one (1)-hour unpaid meal break provided during the shift
• Services will not exceed 80-hours in a two (2) week period.
• Will be required to work on federally recognized holidays.

Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Team-work skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
