SITE OF SERVICE:
- Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, Fort Hood, TX
- Full Time Position
POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree: Associate degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s in Nursing
- Education: Accredited by ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
- Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)
- The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
- Additional Certifications : Must have the following hands-on certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Experience: Shall have a minimum of one (1)-year of relative experience within the last three (3)-years, which includes the care of adults and newborns.
- Licensure: Possess a current and unrestricted license to practice Registered Nurse in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Island.
- U.S. Citizenship : Shall be a U.S. citizen
- English Language Requirement: Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.
- Physical Capability: Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract.
HOURS:
- It’s a 24/7 facility therefore hours of performance shall be as set forth by the applicable Department Chief or his/her designated Government representative.
- Contractor will ensure a minimum of four (4) 12-hour shifts per month coverage per each RN.
- Hour in excess of 80-hours in a two (2) week period is considered overtime and must be approved in advance in accordance.
- A minimum 30-minute and not to exceed one (1)-hour unpaid meal break provided during the shift
- Services will not exceed 80-hours in a two (2) week period.
- W ill be required to work on federally recognized holidays.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS
Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Teamwork skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
