As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key member of our product development team, with a focus on the end-to-end technical aspects of a critical application at Lucid. Your role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, product owners to gain in-depth insights into specific requirements and take ownership of your code throughout the entire lifecycle, including design, implementation, test automation, and the delivery of top-quality applications to our user base. 

The Role

• Design and develop full-stack web applications, microservices, and REST APIs 
• Build responsive, accessible, and mobile-friendly web user interfaces 
• Develop and implement web application features while ensuring alignment with our product's technical vision and strategy. 
• Oversee code reviews to maintain high code quality and compliance with coding standards. 
• Contribute to optimizing application performance, reliability, scalability, and security. 
• Keep updated on emerging technologies and best practices to foster innovation within the team. 

• 5 years of experience in Full-stack web applications, microservices, and REST API development, in Golang, Python, Java or similar languages. 
• Demonstrated expertise in building responsive, accessible, and mobile-friendly user interfaces using JavaScript, React, Angular, or similar frameworks. 
• Hands-on experience with Cloud technologies, GIT, and proficiency in DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD and test automation. 
• Strong problem-solving skills, capable of diagnosing issues, debugging, and optimizing application performance. 
• Enthusiastic about actively seeking and embracing user feedback as a catalyst for achieving excellence in application development. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, enabling the presentation of complex information in a clear and concise manner. 
• Effective at managing multiple tasks, setting priorities, and thriving in a dynamic, team-oriented, high-speed work environment. 

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
• Master's Degree preferred

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

·California (Bay Area) - $145,600 - $200,200

Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
