Lucid Motors is Hiring a Sr. Director, Business Finance Near Newark, CA

Lucid is seeking a Sr. Director, Business Finance. In this role, you will partner with the VP of Finance, Finance Team and cross-functional executives across the company on annual and long-term business planning, strategy projects, fundraising, investor relations, new business development and corporate development initiatives. This senior finance leader will also oversee G&A, Marketing, Sales and Service finance functions, as well as FP&A.
This individual will lead a team to support a wide range of strategic analysis, decision-making, and management reporting for the executive team, board, and finance leadership. The individual must be innovative and highly analytical with deep business acumen, process orientation, excellent communication and collaboration skills and a proven track record of synthesizing and simplifying complex issues.
This experienced and creative business executive will report to the VP of Finance and serve as a key member of the Finance Leadership team.
The Role:

  • Oversee company-level annual budgeting, monthly forecast reporting including CFO-level and Executive Team reviews, P&L and cash forecasting. Lead analyses, which inform prioritization and resourcing of strategic and tactical initiatives and adapt plans and models in accordance with evolving business needs
  • Oversee the development of company level, 3 and 5-year business plans that supports the Company’s strategic vision as well as the Company’s long-term mission and financial future
  • Support the Business and Corporate Development teams, Strategy and Decision Support teams, Investor Relations, and Treasury teams in various project-level financial analyses, new product development and launches, partnerships and M&A, investor communications, and long-term cash flow planning
  • Effectively monitor and analyze financial results, KPIs, leading and lagging indicators and adherence with various plans, identifying nature of variances and reporting insightful and actionable data to senior management and Board
  • Oversee the G&A, Marketing, Sales and Service Finance teams and provide business partnering support for executive leadership and their respective teams.
  • Partner with the Sales & Service teams in strategy, pricing proposals & approvals, retail development, and advising on various commercial offerings.
  • Lead the buildout of a business intelligence team, which identifies, adopts and optimizes the use of financial tracking and reporting systems thereby driving efficient and accurate communication and analysis of financial information for the entire financial organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or technical field; MBA preferred
  • 15 to 20 years of work experience, with at least 5 years in executive finance positions in a complex, global company. The preferred candidate will have held a range of finance positions most likely across Corporate Finance, Sales Finance, Financial consulting, Investment Banking, or FP&A
  • Exceptional business and financial acumen; ability to oversee, scope and manage advanced financial analyses and methodologies with the goal to foresee issues and opportunities, drive insights, actions and financial and strategic return for their companies and organizations
  • Highly developed technical, quantitative and critical-thinking skills, high level of independent judgment, initiative and creativity to identify and clearly communicate strategic analyses, opportunities and issues to senior management
  • Business builder, with a commitment to mentoring and developing people and passion for continuous improvement across processes and systems
  • A track record of personal accountability, strong work ethic, integrity, and achieving results through influence
  • Ability to prioritize and thrive in a highly ambiguous environment with competing demands -- applying discretion, common sense and good judgment
  • Strong executive presence, including excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to take initiative, and build strong, productive relationships
  • Experienced with new business development and partnering with Go to Market sales and service organizations preferably those operating both B2B and B2C sales channels
  • Experience in Technology, and/or Transportation Technology industries
