SUMMARY
An employee in this classification, under the supervision of an Early Intervention (EI) Coordinator, is responsible for evaluating and assessing motor delays and disabilities and providing interventions and recommendations for children in early intervention.
DUTIES
75%
•Provides motor evaluations and assessments for eligible children.
•Participates in trans-disciplinary team approach to programming.
•Assists in developing functional motor objectives for the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
•Implements state approved tools for evaluations and assessments.
•Serves as a consultant to staff, families and providers on motor techniques and needs.
•Attends Core team meetings and makes recommendations for individualized EI needs.
•Completes required reports for those served.
•Refers individuals to community resources for motor and physical services.
•Coordinates and monitors adaptive equipment/items and supplies as needed.
•Complies with all applicable rules, regulations, laws and Board policies and procedures.

•May assist in facilitating in-service programs.
•May adjust, adapt, build and clean equipment and assists in the oversight of the loan closet.
•Attends meetings, conferences and staffings.
•May be required to orient individuals assigned to the department.

•Performs other related duties as required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
•Position may involve exposure to individuals with medical and behavioral risks.
•Position will require evenings and locations convenient for individuals and families in their natural environment.
