Summary:

The transportation systems support lead will be the internal expert on the specialized software and hardware used by the transportation department. This role supports the implementation and ongoing use of all transportation systems and related hardware. This role will work with IT specialists, end users, and management to solve system failures and identify enhancements. Will advise department management regarding new products and technology appropriate to department needs. Serves as a liaison to IT and acts as the designated resource within the Transport organization who will learn new system functionality and transfer (educate) that knowledge to system owners and end users.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical support for transportation systems such as fleet management, compliance, and GPS tracking systems as well as interstate transport operator’s and shuttle operator’s mobile devices, such as phones, tablets, and printers.
  • Leads the implementation of new software and provides ongoing guidance and training to end users through and after implementation.
  • Supports the design of learning courses and activities to ensure learning objectives are met for all end users.
  • Troubleshoots, resolves, and tracks technical and training related issues for all LSP Transport applications in a timely manner to minimize and prevent business disruptions.
  • Collaborates with other departments within LSP Transport and LSPI, such as maintenance, operations, and IT, to ensure seamless integration, functionality, and maintenance of all transportation systems.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement in transportation technology systems and leads initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability, and user experience.
  • Creates and maintains documentation, including user guides, troubleshooting procedures and support processes to ensure application adoption across the fleet and all office users.
  • Stays updated on any advancements in transportation technology and recommends upgrades or enhancements to optimize system performance. Leverage AI to improve company operational performance.
  • Educates end users from different functions, such as, but not limited to, terminal managers, dispatch team, and interstate operators on best practices as it relates to all software and hardware used by LSP Transport.

  • Knowledge of information or transportation technology systems

  • Self-assertive, self-taught mindset
  • Excellent customer service skills

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, data analytics, or related area or equivalent education and experience.
  • 2 years of related experience preferred.
