Job Summary:
Serves as an Apache AH-64D/E helicopter Subject Matter Expert (SME) during technician or operator courseware product development, testing, initial delivery or revision and maintenance (R&M) programs for new or modified military doctrine, systems or subsystems or support systems. Provides subject matter expertise to design and develop courseware or conduct technician or operator training for AH-64D/E systems and subsystems in accordance with contractual specifications, standards, and instructions. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Background Requirements:
Essential Job Functions:
• Analyzes, designs, and develops training courses and computer-based courseware from source material according to applicable standards and formats. Uses company-developed software tools as well as off-the-shelf products to develop training.
• Participates on a work team comprised of the Project Manager, other SMEs, Instructional Designers, Software Engineers, and Graphics Specialists to produce courseware or training devices.
• Externally, interacts with Instructional Designers and SMEs from the customer representatives as required.
• Is responsible for the safe, mature, discretionary handling of Government Furnished Equipment/Information (GFE/GFI) and that could include Government materials, sensitive material(s) (documents and equipment), and any end items used for training.
• Attends training conferences, In-Process Reviews (IPRs) and other required meetings to gather source data for courseware and curriculum development.
• May act as Lead SME on the work team, providing training and guidance to other team members.
• May advise the Department Director or senior managers of business development opportunities in the area of subject matter expertise.
• May be required to work occasionally outside of normal working hours due to travel, availability of training equipment, time shared work benches or aircraft as specified by the contract.
• Works a standard weekly schedule of 40 hours with overtime as required.
• Performs other duties as required.
Non-Essential Job Functions:
• Assist in the development of training level of effort estimates for customers.
• Assist in the development of various proposals within the company.
