ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER :
Overview:
LS Black is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager with the ability to engage with various staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, enthusiastic and efficient with a high level of professionalism. As an Assistant Project Manager you will organize, manage, and plan projects for the organization’s research, development, and product implementation efforts.
Responsibilities:
Organization, flexibility, excellent customer focus and strong communication are critical in performing duties which include, but are not limited to:

• Assists project manager(s)

• Helps in contract negotiations with subcontractors.

• Provides support in buyout.

• Contributes to project proposals.

• Updates project schedule

• Familiar and well versed with LSB and client software systems.

• Updates and modifies site logistics, EAP, DAP and other shared documents.

• Attends OAC & Staff meetings.

• May be the main point of contact on smaller projects.

• Manages scopes as determined by the PM I and/or PM II

Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

• Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.

• Skilled with using P6.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education:

• Associates degree in related field.

• At least one year of related experience required.

• PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable.
