LPX Group is Hiring a Night Shift Dump Truck Supervisor Near Louisville, KY

PurposeOur Material Transfer Co Trucking Division based in Louisville has an opening for a Night Shift Dump Truck Supervisor. This individual directly supervises, and coordinates activities of drivers engaged in delivering aggregate, asphalt and other material to plant sites and job sites.

Job Responsibilities

  • Addresses complaints and resolves problems regarding employees.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Dispatching of night shift company owned dump trucks along with sub-contractor dump trucks to fill company orders.
  • Plans routes and schedules drivers and trucks for delivery of aggregates, asphalt, and other materials.
  • Communicates with supervisors, plant operators, and job foremen for delivery of aggregates, asphalt, and other materials. 
  • Fulfill company dump truck orders daily while communicating thoroughly of any issues to fill these orders.
  • Tracks drivers’ hours of service and monitors Elog to ensure DOT compliance.
  • Compiles list of available trucks.
  • Assigns trucks according to factors such as length and purpose of trip, and freight requirements.
  • Investigates any trucks being late to jobs on their scheduled time.
  • Directs activities of drivers by two-way radio or other available communication method.
  • Issues equipment to drivers such as material handling supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Microsoft office experience preferred
