LPA Inc. is Hiring an Architectural Project Administrative Specialist Near San Antonio, TX

LPA is seeking a passionate Architectural Project Administrative Specialist to join our integrated team of architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects, and master planners. Our San Antonio studio is continuing to grow, and you’ll have the opportunity to be an integral part of our development. You will work hand in hand with clients, contractors, and colleagues across disciplines in a variety of project types including K-12 education, higher education, civic, workplace, and mixed use. You will be supporting and guiding teams and clients in all project phases including administrative tasks during project design, the processing of projects through plan review and permitting with the appropriate Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), and construction contract administrative tasks throughout the construction and closeout phases of a project.

What you will do:

  • You will help document and distribute meeting notes during project design phases
  • You will log, track, and maintain schedules, progress reports, logs, and budget information for projects in design and construction
  • You will help collect, review, and process plans and required paperwork to secure plan check approval and permits with the appropriate AHJs
  • You will support the development of a proactive approach to obtain permit approvals effectively and efficiently through various agencies
  • You will coordinate and communicate with clients, project teams, AHJs, and contractors to support all project approval processes

Administrative Specialist Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
  • Valid Texas driver’s license and TX registered vehicle
  • 3 years of administrative experience, preferably supporting projects in the AEC industry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Teams
  • Experience with Bluebeam
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks
  • Professional and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for client-centers service
  • Eagerness to learn and assume increased responsibilities
