Requirements:

• An associate's degree from an accredited program and registration as a technologist by the A.R.R.T.
• Current Florida General Radiographer license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Also 2 years of experience is preferred.

What Does a Radiologic Technologist I do? As a Radiologic Technologist I with Lower Keys Medical Center, you will be responsible for…

• Arranging patients for radiological examinations.
• Produces radiographs (x-rays) to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems.
• Prevent patients from being exposed to unnecessary radiation.
• Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. You will work under immediate supervision.
• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
• Typically this position reports to a chief technologist or manager.
