Job Summary:
Schedule: Tues.- Sat., 3pm-11pm
The Recovery Specialist Supervisor manages the day-to-day operation of the program during hours that traditionally have high activity but lower staff coverage. Also, must engage in staff development and supervision.
Job Responsibilities:
● Supervises staff to ensure a high level of quality care; participates in regular supervision, documents employee performance evaluations and progressive disciplinary processes.
● Plans, organizes, and facilitates recreational, social, and educational group activities that promote recovery in consultation with other administrative or clinical staff.
● Assumes an active role monitoring daily problems and interventions; mediates issues with clients and attends meetings to report unit and client activity and/or issues, to assist in decision making.
● Supports client’s individual needs/preferences by optimally integrating the client’s perspective into all facets of care; advocates for clients ensuring dignity and respect.
● Completes staff assignment sheets and duty logs as required.
● Monitors staff scheduling to ensure proper coverage.
● Facilitates timely resolution of client concerns and assists in the exercise of their human rights.
● Partners with clients to develop individual therapeutic goals and objectives, through consultation, evaluation, review of client history or observation.
● Documents observations of client care through routine reports as directed and ensures proper follow-up.
● Participates in the admission, transfers, and discharge process by collecting and recording appropriate information and providing physical/emotional support to the client.
● Accompanies patients to various appointments, programs, and treatment areas.
● Ensuring all shift documentation is completed by the end of shift.
● Performs all other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
● High school diploma or GED minimum requirement.
● Must become CPR/First Aid certified.
● Demonstrate the knowledge and ability to promote recovery.
● Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
● Must use company vehicles and potentially personal vehicles to transport clients.
● Strong verbal & written communication skills.
● Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
● This position requires the successful completion of a CORI
