`Surgery Scheduler/Front Desk
Duties
- Schedule surgeries and coordinate all necessary arrangements for patients
- Communicate with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate scheduling and information
- Coordinate pre-operative testing and evaluations for patients
- Ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and filed appropriately
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and record keeping
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in medical office administration is a plus
- Previous experience as a surgery scheduler or in a similar role within a medical office setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and insurance protocols
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems such as Dentrix or Epic
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of job duties
