Job Posting Title: Facilities Planning Coordinator Position Type: Professional / Unclassified Department: LSUAG Administration - Facilities Planning (Emily Veillon (00000124)) Work Location: 0206 Efferson Hall (LSU Ag Center) Pay Grade: Professional Job Description: Work Location: Office of Facilities Planning, Efferson Hall, Baton Rouge, LA Position Description: This position performs a wide variety of clerical duties that require independent judgment for administrative and support functions for the Office of Facilities Planning of the LSU Agricultural Center. Responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to the following areas: administration and coordination of construction contracts, purchasing/procurement, accounting, contract management utilizing departmental construction management database/software and hard copy files, real property inventory, and property control. Performs a wide variety of clerical duties that require independent judgment to accomplish in support of the Architects, Engineers, and Project Managers within the department. Some discretion is required in the performance of these duties. Duties begin to expand in scope and complexity and develop into departmental‐program duties. Breakdown of Duties: 30% Performs responsible duties related to the proper operation, coordination, and/or management of at the following administrative functions: Mail Operations, Printing, Telecommunications, Vehicle Management, Inventory Control, Purchasing, Records Management, Fiscal Management (payables, receivables, etc.), and Information Technology. 25% Performs administrative support activities such as maintaining files and central records, printing, and duplicating services, and purchasing of supplies and equipment. Processes routine paperwork and/or enters data into a department construction management database or other logs while providing technical assistance to those who need help within the department and while servicing a customer. 15% Performs responsible, initial departmental program duties in accordance with rules, regulations, and policies. May involve communication with other departments, customers, etc. 10% Prepares requisitions for the purchase of supplies; may involve entering information into an automated system. 10% May begin performing duties related to traditional administrative functions, such as property control and safety, in addition to other clerical duties as noted above. 5% Compiles information from various sources and prepares specialized reports; format reports according to department standards. 5% Performs related duties as assigned. Qualification Requirements: Required: Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years related experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must have excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in a team and on your own with supervision and ability to respond well to criticism and maintain a positive attitude. Desired: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Project/Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture. Experience in facility administration and construction procurement.
